honestly Mayhem 10 and 11 in Borderlands 4 just does not mess around anymore like the game straight up stops being nice to you and your build basically needs everything to work together the right anointments the right skill tree the right gear or you're just gonna die over and over and I learned this the hard way after spending way too many hours getting absolutely wrecked by basic mobs because I thought I could just wing it with whatever random gear I had in my inventory which was pretty much a terrible idea ngl so anyway here's the stuff that actually worked for me after a lot of trial and error and honestly some pretty embarrassing deaths you know how it is

Moze: Immortal Iron Bear Build

Core Concept: tbh I love this build because you pretty much just sit in Iron Bear forever and everything dies and the reason it works so well is that Iron Bear scales with Mayhem level which is kind of rare honestly most action skills fall off hard at Mayhem 10 and 11 but Iron Bear just keeps going and I mean you're basically unkillable inside the thing it's kinda ridiculous like I've cleared entire Slaughter Shaft rounds without even taking health damage once not even joking and the best part is you don't need some crazy legendaries to make it work you just need the right skills and you're good to go which is more than I can say for like half the other builds I've tried in this game honestly. Skill Tree Priority: so you wanna go Blue tree (Demolition Woman) all the way to capstone because Vampyr is literally the most important thing here it keeps you alive through everything and honestly without it you're gonna have a bad time then Red tree (Shield of Retribution) for extra survivability and gun damage when Iron Bear is on cooldown which tbh doesn't happen much if you build it right and the key skills you absolutely need are Stainless Steel Bear which increases Iron Bear damage by a lot, Vampyr for grenade healing that's basically mandatory, and Short Fuse for secondary explosions on gun hits and these things slap hard ngl

Essential Gear: Flare Class Mod (increases Iron Bear damage while you're inside and it's like night and day honestly), Cloning Maddening Tracker grenade (18 child grenades for maximum Vampyr healing and I mean maximum like you literally can't die), any weapon with the "While Iron Bear is active, gain 150% increased damage" anointment

Zane: Sonic Speed Infiltrator Build

Core Concept: okay so this one is kinda wild because the faster you move the more damage you do and it sounds dumb but it works so well it's not even funny basically Zane's Violent Momentum skill converts movement speed straight into gun damage so you're literally zooming around the map like a cracked-out maniac one-shotting everything and combined with Mantis Cannon and Barrier you get both damage and survivability. But tbh there's a learning curve here like you can't just pick up Zane and expect to zoom around at full speed you actually have to learn the maps and enemy spawns and stuff and honestly that took me a good 20 hours before I felt like I wasn't just dying in corners

Skill Tree Priority: you want Blue tree (Hitman) for Violent Momentum and Seein' Red and I mean those two skills alone are worth the entire tree ngl, then Purple tree (The Professional) for Mantis Cannon spam and Eraser (critical hits ricochet to another enemy which is so satisfying when it chains). Key skills: Violent Momentum (speed = damage basically), Salvation (lifesteal that keeps you going), Eraser (critical ricochet and when it procs multiple times in a row it's honestly disgusting)

Essential Gear: Seein' Dead Class Mod (kills activate all kill skills and this is literally the best class mod for Zane imo), Revolter shield with "On Action Skill Start" anointment, Light Show pistol or Monarch assault rifle both work great honestly. And the Speed Demon mayhem modifier pairs so perfectly with this build it's like they designed it specifically for Zane which maybe they did who knows

Amara: Ties That Bind Phasegrasp Build

Core Concept: so Ties That Bind is basically the most broken augment in the game and I love it, it links enemies together so when you damage the grasped target all the linked enemies take damage too and with proper elemental matching you just Phasegrasp one dude and the entire room explodes it's actually the fastest mobbing build in BL4 and I've tried them all tbh nothing else comes close for clearing rooms in seconds it's just stupid good. Also the thing nobody tells you is that you need to learn elemental matchups properly because just slapping any random element on stuff will make this build feel trash and I honestly almost gave up on Amara before I figured that out

Skill Tree Priority plus Gear: Red tree (Fist of the Elements) for elemental damage bonuses and Sustainment lifesteal which honestly keeps you alive through almost anything, Blue tree (Mystical Assault) for action skill cooldown and Avatar (cast Phasegrasp twice which doubles your damage output basically). Key skills: Sustainment (elemental lifesteal that's kinda mandatory for surviving Mayhem 10), Indiscriminate (ricochet on Phasegrasp and the ricochet damage is no joke), Avatar (second action skill use and it changes everything). And for gear you absolutely want Phasezerker Class Mod (massive gun damage on action skill use like seriously massive), Elemental Projector artifact (183% elemental damage boost when suffering that element's status effect which sounds scary but with Sustainment you heal through it easily), Plasma Coil SMG or Flipper SMG for maximum elemental damage output and honestly either one will carry you through all content and stuff like that

FL4K: Fade Away Critical Build

Core Concept: Fade Away makes every shot a guaranteed critical hit for 8 seconds and that's just the start because you stack critical hit damage bonuses fire rate and magazine size to absolutely max out your DPS during that window and even outside Fade Away with Megavore giving you 20% chance for any body shot to crit your damage stays super consistent and honestly FL4K was my first character to hit 72 and I still come back to this build all the time because it just feels so good to play it's easily the most satisfying Vault Hunter in the entire series imo and I've played all of them since BL2 so that's saying something

Skill Tree Priority: Green tree (Stalker) for Fade Away duration, Guerillas in the Mist, and Unblinking Eye which are all basically mandatory imo. Red tree (Hunter) for Megavore and critical hit damage bonuses. And the key skills are Guerillas in the Mist (shorter Fade Away but no cooldown per shot and this is a game changer honestly), Megavore (20% crit chance on any hit which sounds small but procs constantly), Unblinking Eye (critical hits increase subsequent crit damage stacking 3 times and when fully stacked your damage is just absurd). Because here's the thing you don't even need perfect gear with this build I was running a pretty mediocre setup for like 15 levels and still melting everything it's kind of broken tbh

Essential Gear: Stackbot Class Mod (critical hits increase gun damage, resets on non-crit but Fade Away guarantees crits so this stacks infinitely and that's basically the whole reason this build works so well), Pearl of Ineffable Knowledge artifact (consecutive hits increase damage and it synergizes perfectly), Monarch assault rifle or Hellwalker shotgun and tbh the Hellwalker on a Fade Away FL4K is one of the most satisfying things in the entire game I'm not even exaggerating you get the idea, and any shield with good capacity honestly even a purple one will do the job
