Skill Tree Allocation
I've died to this build so many times before figuring out the right tree path so lemme save you the trouble, for the primary you want Fist of the Elements with 36 points starting with Anima at 5/5 for +40% status damage and duration which is honestly kind of mandatory then Infusion at 5/5 to convert your gun damage to your action skill element which is super important for the elemental stacking and all that, and you absolutely need Indiscriminate at 3/3 because that's what makes bullets ricochet from Phasegrasped enemies to linked targets and without it the whole build just kind of falls apart tbh, grab Sustainment at 1/1 because elemental damage heals you and I mean who doesn't want free healing, and Forceful Expression at 1/1 for bonus elemental damage on all guns which is just free damage and honestly why would you skip that, for secondary go Mystical Assault with 26 points, Do Harm at 5/5 for action skill damage stacking, Restless at 5/5 for cooldown reduction because Phasegrasp uptime is everything you know right, Wrath at 3/3 so action skill damage converts to gun damage which is actually really strong in practice, and Avatar at 1/1 for double Phasegrasp use and I can't tell you how many times that second charge has saved my run literally, then tertiary Brawl with 8 points, Clarity at 5/5 for passive health regen and Helping Hands at 3/5 for damage reduction after using your action skill and that's pretty much the full tree setup you get the idea
But here's the thing about the tree order. Don't rush Indiscriminate first.
Go Anima then Infusion then rush down to Sustainment. The lifesteal is honestly what keeps you alive in Mayhem levels and without it you're gonna have a bad time. So many people skip Sustainment early and then wonder why they keep dying. Anyway.
Gear Loadout
Okay so gear wise the Free Radical Maliwan Pistol is your primary and honestly this gun is just broken on Amara, the shock splash damage chains to nearby enemies and when you combine that with Phasegrasp + Ties That Bind it's literally a room cleared in one shot, I've seen entire packs of badasses just evaporate and it never gets old, secondary you want the Flipper Maliwan SMG with 9 projectile split and any element works, the splash procs Sustainment heal constantly so you're basically immortal while firing, great for mobbing and as a backup when things get hairy, tertiary grab the Reflux Hyperion SMG, it's corrosive with chain lightning on crit and handles armor enemies which is where Amara can sometimes struggle a bit or whatever, for class mod the Phasezerker is the one you want with +3 Anima +3 Wrath +2 Restless, the action skill and elemental damage boost is massive and you farm it from a specific boss but it's worth the grind I promise, shield is Re-Volter with ASS anoint so on action skill start you get 200% shock damage and 50% move speed for 15 seconds which is just insane burst, and for artifact Pearl of Ineffable Knowledge gives +100% damage after 20 consecutive hits and the Flipper stacks this instantly, like you fire for half a second and you're already at max stacks it's kind of ridiculous ngl, I've tried other artifacts but the Pearl just outperforms everything else for this kind of build and honestly I'm not even sure it's close, maybe a Victory Rush could work if you don't have the Pearl yet but the Pearl is definitely the endgame goal imo
