BL4 FL4K Critical Hit Build - Boss Melting Guide

I've mained FL4K since day one and honestly nothing in this game feels better than popping Fade Away and watching boss health bars just disappear like you go invisible for 8 seconds and every single shot is a guaranteed crit and then Megavore gives you a 30% chance to crit literally anywhere on the body even if you're not hitting a weak spot and it's kind of ridiculous how fast things die, the ricochet chains from crit kills just clean up all the adds without you even thinking about them, this build is basically easy mode for bossing ngl and once you get the gear dialed in you can one-cycle pretty much any boss in the game including raid bosses which is honestly just stupid fun, I remember the first time I melted Graveward in under 10 seconds with this setup and I just sat there laughing because it felt so unfair

Skill Tree Allocation

So here's the tree setup I've landed on after way too many respecs and honestly this is what works best imo, primary Hunter with 35 points, you want Interplanetary Stalker at 5/5 for +30% crit damage and gun damage which is just a massive boost, and Big Game at 5/5 for +30% damage to bosses and badasses because that's literally why we're here, Megavore at 1/1 is the whole point of the build giving 30% chance to crit on any body hit and I cannot stress how important this capstone is like it's the single biggest power spike FL4K gets, The Most Dangerous Game at 5/5 for +50% damage on kill which sounds situational but honestly it's up constantly in any fight with adds, secondary go Master with 22 points, Furious Attack at 5/5 for +50% gun damage after 5 shots which is basically always active and kind of insane value for 5 points, Pack Tactics at 5/5 for +20% damage when your pet is alive and your pet should always be alive if you're playing right you know, Emphatic Rage at 5/5 so taking damage actually boosts your damage which is kind of a nice tradeoff, tertiary Stalker with 12 points, Eager to Impress at 3/5 for action skill cooldown on kill which helps with Fade Away uptime, Unblinking Eye at 3/3 for +24% damage per shot on the same target and that stacks up really fast on bosses, so yeah that's the skill setup and honestly you could tweak a few points here and there but this core works for everything from mobbing to raid bosses and stuff like that

But one thing I wish someone told me earlier.

Don't put points into Leave No Trace for this build. The ammo return sounds nice on paper but it actually doesn't proc consistently enough with the Monarch's bipod mode and those points are better spent in Big Game instead. So many build guides recommend it and I wasted like 3 respecs before figuring out it was bait.

Gear Loadout

For weapons the Monarch Vladof AR is best in slot and I'm pretty sure that's not even debatable at this point, bipod mode fires x4 bullets and during Fade Away every one of those is a guaranteed crit so the DPS is just stupid high, you farm it from Guardian Takedown and it's a pain but so worth it, secondary Hellwalker Jakobs Shotgun is this incendiary single-pellet monster that crits every shot during Fade Away, it deletes enemies one by one and the sound it makes is so satisfying ngl, tertiary Light Show Jakobs Pistol fires 4 pellets per shot with excellent ammo efficiency and it's great for clearing trash during Fade Away downtime when you're waiting for cooldown, for class mod Bounty Hunter with +2 Interplanetary Stalker and +2 Big Game gives bonus damage against bosses which is exactly what this build is about, shield is Re-Volter with ASS anoint so it activates on Fade Away and you get +200% shock damage for the entire duration, combine that with guaranteed crits and it's basically over for anything you point your gun at, artifact Pearl of Ineffable Knowledge for consecutive hit damage and the Monarch stacks this to max in under a second, like you literally start firing and half a second later you're at full stacks it's kind of crazy, I've experimented with Company Man artifacts too and they're decent but the Pearl just gives more consistent damage for this specific setup, maybe a Jakobs Company Man could work if you're running the Hellwalker as primary but for Monarch builds the Pearl is definitely the move
